2 hours and 14,688 meals later. . .

October 22, 2009 By The Fax Guys Leave a Comment

On Tuesday, October 20, 2009, our team of Dynamic Solutions Group employees and owners spent a little time and made a big difference!

Our group along with other volunteers (including a group of 3rd graders from Bloomington, MN), hand-packed meals specially formulated to feed starving children in third-world countries. Feed My Starving Children (based in Minnesota) is a non-profit organization that has provided meals to disadvantaged kids since 1987. In 2008 alone, Feed My Starving Children volunteers packaged over 70 million meals!

Each bag we packed contains enough food (a mix of rice, soy, chicken, dehydrated vegetables, vitamins & minerals) to make 6 meals! Once the food packages reach their intended recipients, they simply add boiling water and cook. We loaded boxes upon boxes for shipping; we packaged 14,688 meals to feed 40 children for an entire year! The boxes we filled were heading to Kenya. We couldn’t be happier to know that some deserving Kenyan children will have a better future because their nutritional needs will now be met. What a wonderful way to spend the lunch-hour! Feed My Starving Children is a great example of how doing something so little can make a huge impact on other people’s lives!
