Leveraging Business Intelligence with RightFax Analytics and Dashboards

June 10, 2019 By Fax Girl Leave a Comment

rightfax analytics

Modern businesses have a global reach, and faxing makes the exchange of data among these businesses a secure, fast and (sometimes) automated process. With so many faxes being exchanged between businesses and other organizations, it’s no wonder that fax metrics have become an integral source of business intelligence. The analytics gained by studying various fax data and trends can be invaluable for organizations looking to improve efficiency and get the most out of their fax servers.

How RightFax Makes Analytics Easy

RightFax offers two main ways to record and study fax metrics: internal dashboards and add-on dashboards. The built-in dashboards that come with RightFax software will fit the analytics needs of some organizations, but those who are looking to dive deeper into the business intelligence of their fax metrics may want to invest in add-ons.

Using RightFax’s Built-in Analytics

RightFax software comes with a built-in analytics dashboard that provides all the basics admins need to enhance their fax solution. This internal dashboard is available through the RightFax web administration console and provides a quick overview of fax metrics based on the hour, day, or month. This data can be tracked back for an entire year, giving admins a complete snapshot of their fax server metrics.

The available metrics that can be viewed on RightFax’s internal dashboard include:

  • Fax deliverability (including send attempts, success and failure rates, first call success rate, detailed failure reasons, etc.)
  • Fax volumes (both inbound and outbound) and page counts
  • System performance
  • Channel usage (both for sending and receiving as well as available capacity)
  • User summaries
  • Billing codes

These metrics can be viewed on a granular level, helping admins identify trends, analyze fax channel usage, reduce bottlenecks and optimize the performance of their RightFax environment.

Using Add-on Dashboards

RightFax is one of the most versatile fax solutions on the market because of how many add-ons it has and how well it integrates with external analytics dashboards. The pre-packaged dashboard solutions offered by The Fax Guys and Intuitive Business Intelligence offer a deep system overview of your RightFax environment. This solution features over 30 pre-configured dashboards that allow you to customize your reporting based on your organization’s needs. These dashboards can do everything from helping you identify and record errors to analyzing fax trends over time.

The information on Intuitive BI Dashboards provides a comprehensive look at many areas:

  • System overview (faxes per day, error rates, top users by number of faxes, etc.)
  • Channel utilization (channel usage by day, week, hour or minute, channel capacity, etc.)
  • Client analysis (detailed error codes on transmissions, failure rates, service outage times, number of failed transmissions, number of retried sends, etc.)

Costing, operational performance, error analysis and other pre-configured dashboards can also be set up and used to give you a detailed look at your fax metrics. To learn more about the analytics capabilities of RightFax and the pre-configured dashboards that can be used with it, contact The Fax Guys today.
