The latest update for your enterprise fax server is almost here. RightFax version 16 Enhancement Pack 6 is filled with new features and capabilities that we are excited to share with you.
From new features that boost productivity to those that make it easier for organizations to maintain compliance, here are a few of the things you can look forward to in RightFax 16.6.
The New Features of RightFax 16.6
High Resolution Faxes
Received faxes can now be viewed in a higher resolution, providing clearer images and text on all inbound faxes.
Enhanced Client Workflows
Every organization is looking for a better way to handle increased fax volumes in and out of their business. RightFax clients in 16.6 will now process inbound and outbound faxes more quickly. New enhancements also allow users to quickly add or tag metadata to faxes, which is ideal for organizations that lack a capture solution.
Automated Library Documents
Have a legal notice or other required text that’s too long to fit on a cover sheet? RightFax 16.6 will support a library of documents that can be automatically inserted in between cover sheets and fax body pages, ensuring that organizations can continue to use cover sheets while maintaining the integrity of the contents of their faxes. It’s an easy, automatic way to increase the compliance of your outbound faxes.
Web-Based Reporting
RightFax Managed Services now has fully-featured administrative reporting capabilities that are web-based. Admins can easily detect and identify suspicious activity (e.g. excessive login attempts) through prompt notifications from the system.
Time of Day Routing
If you use RightFax Connect, RightFax 16.6 includes a new feature that will allow you to route faxes at a specific time or range. This gives admins the flexibility to schedule large faxes to be sent after business hours, which allows fax channels to be open and maintain maximum performance during peak business hours.
New Archiving Module Features
For those who have the RightFax Archive Module installed, RightFax now allows you to exclude users and groups from archiving and extend the Fax Aging functionality to include faxes that are archived using the module. This simplifies the purging of archived faxes and reduces server storage space.
Consolidation of Notifications
Since RightFax has several different notification options, setting them up can be an administrative chore. Constant notifications can also bog down user inboxes and create distractions throughout the day. RightFax 16.6 consolidates the notification options, providing a more consistent and simplified notification system that reduces inbox clutter and interruptions.
Updates to the RightFax Connect Web Portal
RightFax Connect customers will now have a better MyPortal experience. New design and functionality updates allow users to have access to jobs, reports and associated admin tasks like preferences, fax & DID management, users and blocks.
Stronger Konica Minolta Integration
Users who integrate RightFax with Konica Minolta MFPs will get an update to the RightFax Konica Minolta APP that simplifies the convoluted UI into a more user-friendly UI that simulates that of a fax machine.
Saved Search via FaxUtil
Search queries in FaxUtil and FaxUtil Web can now be saved and re-run, simplifying repetitive tasks for users and increasing their productivity. Two clicks is all it takes to save and re-run a search for inbox content, etc.
Enhanced Shared Microsoft Message Queue
RightFax Shared Services environments will no longer require a dedicated MSMQ server. All RightFax information will now be within SQL Server shared information, which will streamline Shared Services deployments and administration, eliminate single failure points and increase the availability of RightFax collectives.
Secure Active Directory User Synchronization
The RightFax Synchronization module now supports TLS and certificate-based communications to LDAP sources, providing a more secure and encrypted method of transmitting user information between Active Directory and RightFax servers.
Single Sign-on for Managed Services
All RightFax client applications now support single sign-on, allowing users access to RightFax via a single click. This will increase productivity for organizations who deploy access cards for user authentication as users will no longer have to enter their credentials to access RightFax.
Managed Services SFTP Routing
A new secure FTP inbound routing option is now available for Managed Services environments, which provides a secure means of routing inbound faxes via the cloud to a local client folder. RightFax Managed Services users will now be able to securely route faxes to a network directory.
Easier Outbound OCR
Organizations who fear that fax users can send documents with prohibited text will be glad to hear that a new outbound optical character recognition (OCR) will block outbound faxes that contain prohibited text. These blocked faxes will be logged in the history record and displayed with the status “blocked by prohibited content” for tracking purposes. This will help organizations maintain compliance.
